Chapter 1105: Sister
Editor: Henyee Translations
Gu Yang secretly resolved to ensure the children in the orphanage received an education so that no genius would be left undiscovered!
After solving her equation, Gu Jin casually wrote another one on the blackboard–a simple one-dimensional equation. She then passed the chalk to Gu Yang and gestured for her to solve it with her eyes.
Gu Yang blinked in confusion. “Didn’t you just see the one-dollar quadratic equation?”
Gu Jin lifted her chin slightly, exuding a proud, tsundere demeanor. “You draw inferences. Do you know how? Do you want me to teach you?”
Gu Yang thought that despite the little brat’s arrogance, she was quite endearing.
Just then, Gu Yang felt an urge to pinch Gu Jin’s cheeks, but before she could act, Gu Jin reached out and pinched her face instead.
Gu Yang was momentarily stunned.
Gu Jin smirked. “You don’t know how to solve it?”
Gu Yang huffed and grabbed the chalk to tackle the problem herself. She then wrote a college-level calculus question on the blackboard.
It was time to show off her true skills!
Once she finished, Gu Jin stared at the complicated equation, her little brows furrowing in concentration as she tried to make sense of it.
Gu Yang placed her hands on her hips, beaming with pride. “How about that? Pretty impressive, right? Do you want me to teach you?”
Gu Jin stared at the complex equation for a long time, struggling to understand some of the symbols. Eventually, she admitted defeat and handed the chalk back to Gu Yang. “Here, you do it. Just tell me how to solve it.”
Gu Yang twirled the chalk between her fingers, her face glowing with pride. “Call me sister.”
Gu Jin’s expression remained unchanged. “What do you mean?”
Gu Yang repeated, “Sister.”
Gu Jin nodded seriously. “Okay. From now on, you’re my sister.”
Gu Yang blinked, her smile fading.
How old was this little kid? How did she know how to play with words?
Gu Jin poked Gu Yang’s head again. “Are you upset? I don’t just call anyone my sister. You called me sister first, so you’re my only sister from now on.”
Gu Yang, who had been going around calling everyone sister: “…”
Forget it. She was an adult at heart; she couldn’t be bothered to argue with this little brat.
It was already a bit childish of her to challenge a primary school student with a university-level question.
She picked up the chalk and wrote out the steps on the whiteboard while explaining, “This question…”
Gu Jin listened intently, not interrupting Gu Yang at all.
Surprised, Gu Yang wondered if she really understood everything.
Then Gu Jin began asking questions. “What do these symbols mean?”
Seeing her eagerness to learn, Gu Yang explained each one carefully.
Gu Jin drew an infinity symbol on the blackboard. “Infinity? Why do we use this symbol to represent infinity?”
Gu Yang picked up a scrap of paper from the podium and folded it into a ribbon. She spun it halfway around and pinched the ends together to create a simple Mobius strip. “This is called a Mobius strip. If someone walks on it, they’ll follow the path and go on forever. This path is endless.”
“And look, doesn’t this Mobius strip resemble the infinity symbol?”
Gu Jin took the Mobius strip from Gu Yang’s hands, tracing her fingers along the paper as she realized they had come full circle. Her eyes sparkled with interest.
“There’s only one side! I really can’t find the end. What would happen if someone actually fell onto the Mobius strip?” Gu Jin’s brows knitted together, her expression serious as she pondered the question.
Gu Yang paused, taken aback.
If someone really did fall onto the Mobius strip…
They would push forward with all their might, eventually returning to the starting point. They wouldn’t stop until they died, never reaching the end.
A fleeting thought danced in Gu Yang’s mind, but she couldn’t grasp it.
