Chapter 1102: Young Man Feng Jue
Editor: Henyee Translations
Gu Yang realized she had unlocked fighting techniques she had never learned before. The fluidity of her movements felt instinctual, as if they were etched into her mind.
Could it be that she was a natural martial arts genius, learning it all on her own?
Given her young body, she opted for combat techniques that could easily handle even a thousand kilograms. The more she fought, the more exhilarated she became, eager to unleash all the techniques swirling in her mind.
However, the youths from the Azure Dragon Gang quickly began to beg for mercy.
“Heroine, spare my life!”
“Little heroine, we were wrong!”
Their confidence had stemmed from their numbers and size, often bullying the weak with brute force.
Seeing them in such a pitiful state, Gu Yang finally relented. She had intended to teach these chuunibyou youths a lesson for their bullying, but then she noticed the little boy who had been targeted earlier. He staggered two steps and fell to the ground again, prompting her to rush over to help him up.
As she did, the Azure Dragon Gang members, realizing the tide had turned, scrambled to their feet and dragged their injured bodies away.
Gu Yang couldn’t focus on the Azure Dragon Gang any longer; she turned her attention to the little boy, helping him up from the ground. Noticing the blood on his head, she asked with concern, “How are you feeling now?”
“I’m fine. Thank you,” he replied, though Gu Yang could hear the pain he was trying to suppress in his voice.
Despite his sorry state, the boy’s expression remained stoic. His dark, bright eyes and delicate features made him undeniably handsome, even cute. Gu Yang thought he would grow into a striking young man.
She reached out to ruffle his hair, saying, “Little brother, what’s your name?”
Feng Jue avoided her hand, responding in a soft, pleasant voice, “Feng Jue.”
Not one to be easily deterred, Gu Yang frowned playfully and pinched his cheek, smiling as she said, “My name is Gu Yang. From now on, I’ll protect you. You have to call me sister.”
Feng Jue appeared taken aback by the unexpected contact, momentarily stunned. It was too late for him to pull away. Her eyes sparkled, and her smile shone even brighter than a sunflower.
For some reason, the hostility that had quietly grown in his heart began to fade away, like sunlight breaking through the fog.
Lowering his gaze, he softly called out, “Sister.”
Gu Yang then pulled a white rabbit milk candy from her pocket and rubbed his head affectionately. “Good boy, this is for you.”
Feng Jue held the candy in his palm, reluctant to eat it.
In the sweltering summer heat, the candy began to melt. He carefully tore open the wrapper and licked it gently, savoring the sweet flavor.
Word quickly spread through the orphanage that the new girl had single-handedly taken down six tall members of the Azure Dragon Gang. Huahua and Duoduo now looked at Gu Yang with a mix of respect and admiration.
Gu Yang felt as if she had become the “king” of the children.
Since befriending Feng Jue, she made it a point to help him every time she saw him being bullied. To protect him from further mistreatment, she invited him to join her for every meal.
As they sat by the flowerbed, munching on steamed buns, Huahua and Duoduo approached Gu Yang, wanting to play rubber bands. However, Gu Yang politely declined.
Despite her outward appearance as a seven-year-old girl, she was still a twenty-year-old adult at heart! Playing such childish games felt beneath her.
Feng Jue lowered his eyes, enveloped in shadow. “Aren’t you going to play with your friends? You don’t have to stay with me. I can be alone.”
Gu Yang feigned a fierce expression. “I told you to call me sister. Be a good boy and call me sister.”
Feng Jue looked up at her. “Sister.”
Satisfied, Gu Yang smiled and replied, “I don’t want to go play right now. I just want to be with you.”
