Chapter 1101: Hero Saving the Beauty
Editor: Henyee Translations
The two girls in the dormitory were timid, stealing glances at Gu Yang but hesitant to greet her.
However, Gu Yang wasn’t just any child; she was a top psychologist who could easily connect with them. Before long, she had coaxed the girls into calling her “sister” and even checked their household registers.
The two girls were named Huahua and Duoduo. Both had been abandoned and raised in the orphanage.
The food in the orphanage was sparse and often of poor quality. Sometimes, if they arrived late, there wouldn’t be enough left to eat, which explained their constant hunger.
To help forge a bond, Gu Yang shared her snacks with Huahua and Duoduo.
The next day, early in the morning, Huahua and Duoduo eagerly dragged Gu Yang to the canteen for breakfast.
“Sister Yangyang, it’s Wednesday! Breakfast is a big meat bun!” Huahua exclaimed, gesturing excitedly with her fingers, nearly drooling at the thought.
Duoduo chimed in, “We have to hurry! If we’re late, there might not be any left!”
The canteen in the orphanage was very basic, with no tables–just two serving windows. They queued up to receive their food, then searched for a spot to eat.
At the entrance of the canteen.
“Brat, hand over the meat bun in your hand!”
A group of non-mainstream hooligans were surrounding a little boy and punching and kicking him.
The boy curled up on the ground, gritting his teeth in silence. His eyes were deep and stubborn, reminiscent of a young cub.
“Sister Yangyang, let’s go,” Huahua and Duoduo urged, trying to pull Gu Yang away.
But how could Gu Yang turn a blind eye to such bullying?
Though she appeared to be only about seven years old, she remembered all the combat techniques she had learned in the past.
“What you’re doing is wrong!” Gu Yang declared as she stepped forward to intervene.
The fifteen- or sixteen-year-old members of the Azure Dragon Gang turned to her, disdain etched on their faces when they realized she was just another little kid.
“None of your business!” one of them sneered.
“Where did this little turnip come from? Get lost!” another shouted.
The leader of the group reached out to push Gu Yang aside, but she swiftly grabbed his hand and used his momentum to throw him over her shoulder onto the ground.
Even she was taken aback by how easily it was done. Could it be that this body had innate strength?
The Azure Dragon Gang members stared, stunned by Gu Yang’s unexpected display of power.
“Brother Long! Are you alright?” one of them called out in concern.
“I’m fine! I was just careless. Now, brothers of the Azure Dragon Gang, let’s show this wretched girl what we can do!” Brother Long shouted, getting back on his feet and leading his lackeys in a flurry of punches and kicks aimed at Gu Yang.
The little boy curled up on the ground struggled to rise. “No!”
The Azure Dragon Gang was a small group formed by the older orphans in the orphanage, all around fifteen or sixteen years old. They often bullied the weaker children.
Since he had arrived at the orphanage, Feng Jue had learned the hard way that, to get enough to eat, he often had to endure beatings from the Azure Dragon Gang.
After months of life in the orphanage, his previous existence, filled with pampered servants, felt like a distant dream.
Feng Jue had become accustomed to being beaten for a mouthful of food, with no one ever stepping in to help him. Now, watching the little girl stand up to the Azure Dragon Gang for him stirred something within him. He clenched his fists at his sides, fury simmering as he glared at Brother Long and his crew.
Yet, contrary to his expectations of watching Gu Yang get hurt, a different scene unfolded before him.
Gu Yang stood firm, fists clenched tightly, countering every attack thrown her way. Her punches landed with precision, and soon she had knocked down five or six of the Azure Dragon Gang members.
