Chapter 620: Chapter 620: Kill Him
The three women were now in a perilous situation. The electric arcs, although not as damaging as the lightning orbs, had cumulative effects that were gradually slowing them down. If it continued, they would inevitably get paralyzed and their fate sealed.
However, Li Yao didn’t seem to be in a rush. He ceased his sniper rifle’s onslaught and instead fixed his gaze on the Electric Dragon which kept spewing lightning orbs from above.
The newly-summoned Death God 4000 and the Spider Tank, under Li Yao’s command, were constantly changing positions.
As the Electric Dragon fired another lightning orb, it aimed at Li Yao positioned to its side. An electrical glimmer formed in its mouth, ready for a subsequent lightning eruption.
It was at the moment the dragon’s neck stiffened like a snake, Li Yao pulled the trigger.
The bullet went straight into the dragon’s mouth and caused a sudden explosion within the lightning orb.
The dragon’s mouth instantly bled profusely. Simultaneously, the bullet didn’t stop after breaking the lightning orb. It inflicted further damage in the dragon’s neck, followed by its abdomen and finally its tail sucker.
Li Yao only pulled the trigger when the dragon’s mouth and tail sucker were aligned in a straight line. He used a penetration bullet this time.
Penetration bullets weren’t unique against ordinary creatures compared to regular bullets, but against large beings, they could inflict multiple penetrating injuries. This was what made these bullets formidable.
The instant multi-hit caused intense suffering to the Electric Dragon, causing it to loosen its grip and set several stones falling.
At this moment, the main cannon of the Spider Tank fired a dark beam. Instead of aiming directly at the Electric Dragon, it indiscriminately bombarded the rocks surrounding its tail sucker.
Under the irradiation of the dark beam, the rocks rapidly corroded. Even with the enhancement of the array and runes, the rocks became incredibly fragile.
Boom…
The rocket bomb of Death God 4000, shot with blazing flames, hit the position of the electric dragon’s tail sucker. The already fragile rocks instantly collapsed, rendering the tail sucker useless.
The dragon’s ability to fix its body position was primarily due to the sucker and only aided by its two claws.
With the sucker losing its effect, the dragon’s body instantly tumbled down.
The dragon, reeling from the penetrating bullet, was in agonizing pain. It was unable to react and fell to the ground like a meteor.
The whole hall started to tremble, and an enchanted stone pillar fell to the ground.
The body of the Electric Dragon was sturdy and heavy, so much so that even the reinforced ground could not withstand the massive impact.
The ground of the hall displayed numerous cracks, and the dragon formed a massive crater when it fell.
The dragon’s health bar suddenly decreased by a considerable margin. Originally, the group had already taken away 60% of its health, but with the dragon’s fall, its health dropped sharply by 25%.
Fall damage was terrifying for any creature, and it was a percentage damage of total health.
Despite the robust physical constitution of the electric dragon and its superb scale armor defense, the 25% damage due to its high altitude and considerable weight was not excessive. If it were a heavy armor player falling from hundreds of meters, their health would probably drop to zero immediately.
“What are you standing around for? Attack now.” As Li Yao spoke, he switched to the Blue Moon Bow and activated Rapid Shooting. He fired a series of arrows that looked like a linked line directly into the dragon’s mouth, causing horrific damage.
Its mouth, unprotected by the scale armor, was one of the dragon’s most vulnerable points. Now, as the dragon was disoriented by the fall and unable to stand, it was the perfect opportunity to launch a barrage of attacks.
The other three also reacted and began their onslaught.
Even at the brink of life, the Knight’s shield and hammer disappeared and were replaced by a broadsword, continuously using Stored Force Slash attacks on the dragon’s tail.
This was the strength of her profession. Though the individual skills weren’t particularly enhanced, they offered the advantage of switching talents and changing equipment attributes during a battle.
Of course, despite the lacking enhancements, Li Yao was aware of the formidable potential of this profession.
It could adapt to all situations. Consider this – it could transform into a tank form when damage resistance was needed, offering high immunity and shield effect, switch to a healer’s form when low on health to restore it rapidly, or instantly turn into a Retribution Knight with explosive damage when high output was required.
This all-rounder Knight was also known as the Druid among Knights. In uncomplicated battlegrounds, its combat effectiveness was superior.
Naturally, battles were ever-changing and even the arenas were diverse, thus giving professions like Druids with multifaceted abilities the upper hand.
The strength and weakness of a profession could only be compared under specific circumstances, but in actuality, one should consider the player over the profession.
If a highly skilled player were to play as a Druid, their multifaceted forms could play other players to death, but if a novice were to play it, they would be even weaker than a Hunter.
The dragon fell from such a great height with its head onto the ground, giving it quite the blow. This led the dragon to be stunned for a good fifteen seconds. Fifteen seconds of uninterrupted strikes, particularly fatal ones, led to a drastic drop in the dragon’s health bar.
Eventually the dragon rose and resumed its skills, but under Li Yao’s directives, the fight became a lot simpler to manage.
Moreover, their understanding of the dragon’s skills made it easier to lead, and the three women coped effortlessly, without a hint of nervousness.
The battle continued, and the dragon returned to the top of the hall with less than 30% of its health remaining.
Just like before, Li Yao executed the same strategy, and the dragon crashed to the ground once more. This time, it only lost 20% of its health, but it was more than enough for the group to handle.
As the Knight transformed into a Retribution Knight again, Li Yao also pulled out a broadsword and teamed with her to use Stored Force Slash.
With both of their Stored Force Slashes landing, the dragon’s tail broke off abruptly. The dragon roared in agony, but without its tail, it became uncoordinated with its skills missing their mark.
The dragon’s body swayed uncontrollably. As the group had already adapted to the dragon’s attack rhythm, the tailless dragon was even weaker.
During the latest round of blast, the dragon released a roar of anger unwillingly before crashing down to the ground.
The three women, forsaking their dignity, sat on the ground panting. The fact that they killed the boss in less than twenty minutes was beyond their comprehension.
The intense focus and dodging movements left them somewhat depleted.
“We’re done, so we’re even now.” Li Yao walked up to the boss. To him, a battle of this caliber was effortless, causing him absolutely no stress…
