Chapter 942: Chapter 516: How did it end up here? How did it come back again!_2 Chapter 942: Chapter 516: How did it end up here? How did it come back again!_2 “Ah, you wouldn’t understand,” Negris said, waving his short hands dismissively. Ange had grown in many ways over the years, but his magic power hadn’t increased much. He could release Level 2 Magic with a buffer through his arms, but it was only because his control was so strong that the Level 2 spells he cast had the destructive power of around Level 4.
Take the exploding fireball, for instance–it’s actually a Level 4 Magic, there’s no such thing as a Level 2 exploding fireball. Yet, Ange, with his immense control, could compress a Level 2 flame spell into an exploding fireball.
In other words, while others needed Level 4 to create an explosion, he could do it at Level 2, causing damage beyond his tier. The same went for the Holy Light Missile, although, fundamentally, it was still Level 2 Magic.
It’s a mixed blessing. The good part is that Ange only uses as much magic power as a Level 2 spell requires. The downside is that Ange can at most cast Level 2 spells. Now, it may seem like just a one-level increase, but it’s a significant change.
Ange stood there, holding the Bronze Book with one hand and drawing out lines of fire with the other, heating the pond until steam rose from it.
From over Ange’s shoulder, the God of Life popped out and said, “Keep this up and the rice will be cooked.”
“Oh,” Ange quickly ceased, switching to a wind tornado which swiftly swept away the pond’s heat before he stopped the Enlightenment Aura.
“Level 3 Magic, does that mean the Enlightenment Aura allows you to cast Level 3 spells?” Negris inquired.
“At least Level 5,” Grey interrupted, unimpressed. She, an Arcane Magician, would not make a mistake; the power of the exploding fireball was at least that of Level 5.
Ange nodded his head.
“If that’s the case, then it’s quite useful. Keeping it active for a day only costs a hundred thousand Soul Flames. But if you bombarded with spells all day… let me calculate… about one hundred and seventy-something million shots of exploding fireball each with the power of Level 5 Magic–you could flatten this mountain,” Negris reasoned.
It was only when counting did the shock set in; besides, even without the Enlightenment Aura, the number wouldn’t change, just the power would drop to Level 4. But does it make a difference?
With one hundred seventy million shots, there is no distinction between Level 4 and Level 5.
The only consideration is the availability of enough elements to consume; the type of magic used dictates seeking a place rich in corresponding elements, like the sea for water spells or a volcano for fire spells. Wind spells are the easiest, given that wind is everywhere.
Grey stood to the side, her face full of question marks. What were these numbers? A hundred and seventy-something million? Were such figures even supposed to appear in the world of magic?
At the very least, the Enlightenment Aura was far from useless, Negris was considerably relieved, and then he turned his gaze to the Hemisphere Capturer.
There were actually two Hemisphere Capturers, which together formed a complete one, locking a Titan securely inside. Of course, under normal circumstances, such capturers wouldn’t be able to hold a Thunder Titan unless it was beaten to within an inch of its life.
Kronos was just that–barely clinging to life. When Feiti suddenly appeared in front of him and yelled his own name, Kronos knew his end had come: “Why is it you again!!”
Giants feared Locke, Thunder feared Flash, and if there was anything in the Undead Empire that could subdue a Titan like Feiti, he would undoubtedly be one.
To think, the Titan clan had left this place thousands of years ago. He returned to spearhead the scouting, only to bump into Feiti, the very Flash that caused him the most headache.
The Lord of Mourning moved like a fleeting point of light, making it tough even for a Thunderbolt Javelin to hit him.
Sigh, even if it did hit, it wouldn’t do much, Thunder above, his skeletal frame didn’t conduct electricity.
The Lord of Mourning, Flash Feiti. In any world, he would no doubt be the Plane Domination, of equal standing to the Titan God King. Yet, in the Undead Empire, he was just one of the two Lords of Mourning under the Umbrella of the Undead Monarch.
The other, Locke, was even more frightening. However, Locke was slower, allowing for more leeway if encountered–at least one could flee with greater ease as opposed to Feiti, who left no room for composure.
“Why! Why are you still here! Your king has gone to a new realm, why didn’t you follow!” Kronos bellowed in panic, just before being struck by Feiti, who smashed away his left hand’s Electric Armor.
Such Electric Armor summoned from the void by Kronos served as a solidifier and amplifier for the Thunder Power of a Titan, tripling a Titan’s thunderous might once donned.
Regardless, it was futile. Feiti was non-conductive, and while Thunder could whip him away like an electrified lash, it couldn’t char him to a crisp. Then, with a flash of light, he would be right before you again.
Indeed, your average skeleton is conductive, only able to reduce electrical damage, not immune. With enough voltage, a skeleton can still be turned to charcoal, but at the level of the Lord of Mourning, he was pretty much immune to all Elemental Magic.
However, Magic consists of elemental and physical damage–for instance, the ‘exploding’ part of the exploding fireball is physical damage, as is the ‘arrow’ of an Ice Arrow. Still, these types of physical damage were like tickles to a durable entity like the Lord of Mourning.
Kronos swung out his right hand, and Electric Armor clashed with another punch from Feiti. The Electric Armor flew off, and Feiti was also sent flying ten meters away.
Kronos roared, and a huge bolt of electricity zapped Feiti’s body, blasting him into the sky, then swiftly pulled him back down.
Feiti smashed into the ground at high speed, creating a large crater.
Feiti leapt out of the crater as if nothing had happened, crouched down, then soared into the sky.
Slowed down a hundredfold, one could see the space in front of Feiti instantly compress to the extreme and then explode, creating an intense flash. Feiti, as if following this light, accelerated instantly, almost teleporting across the distance between them, appearing in front of Kronos and swinging out a punch.
This was the origin of the Flash.
Kronos, with his Electric Armor helmet blasted off, watched in horror as another Purple Gold Skeleton sprinted towards him rapidly, followed by a large group of humans, elves, and giant dragons, each a fighter of the Ultimate Truth level.
“It’s a trap, this is a trap! Don’t come here! Don’t come here! Don’t come here!” Kronos shouted frantically.
With so many people ambushing, not just him, but even if the entire Titan tribe came, they would kneel today.
This was clearly a trap; otherwise, why would there be so many people? Wasn’t it said that the Gods of Light were all dead, and the Undead King was trapped in another world? How come there are even more powerful beings on the Master Plane?
Struggling to send out a warning signal, Kronos was stripped of his Electric Armor and was beaten to the brink of death before being captured.
“Why does the Master Plane also have a Hemisphere Capturer?” This was Kronos’s last thought before being captured and the first thought when he was released.
The released Kronos found himself suspended between two Hemisphere Capturers, facing a crowd of unfamiliar figures. Feiti, who had knocked him unconscious, and another unrecognized Lord of Mourning were not there.
“Who are you?” Kronos asked confusedly.
“Just call me Nage. What’s your name?” A Juvenile Bronze Dragon leaned in with a grin and asked.
Kronos struggled a bit, realized the capturer was very secure, dispelled the thought of breaking free and instead turned to Negris and asked, “Bronze Dragon? Nage? God of Knowledge?”
Negris’s face lit up with joy and he asked excitedly, “You know me?”
When the Titans left the Master Plane, Negris hadn’t even ignited the Divine Fire. He hadn’t expected the other party would actually know him.
The Titan mocked, “Of course I know you, the Undead King’s pet, huh? That Old Immortal built dozens of Halls of Knowledge for you, who wouldn’t know you?”
At this point, the Titan suddenly became puzzled, “Wait, this is the Master Plane, how come you’re here?”
“The Master Plane?” Negris was taken aback and suddenly realized something. “Hehe, you might be mistaken. Look up at the sky, Old Tree, move some leaves aside.”
The leaves and vines covering the deep pool slowly retracted, revealing a section of the sky where the huge Starburst Array was clearly visible.
Kronos struggled excitedly, “Star Burst Magic? How am I here? How am I here? We flew so long to get to the Master Plane, how did I come back?!”
Ange did not pay attention to Kronos but instead looked through the gap in the leaves that had been pulled back. High in the sky, at an altitude of over a thousand meters, a human stood in midair, his robe fluttering in the wind.
Ange recognized him; it was indeed the same human Magician who had come to investigate after Old Tree killed those goblins cutting trees in the mountains and then had called out ‘Silent Fog,’ ‘Divine Realm,’ ‘God of Life.’
That human Magician also excitedly sent out a message, murmuring, “I finally found you, God of Life. If the forest hadn’t suddenly started smoking, I wouldn’t have discovered this desolate valley has grown a forest. This is definitely the work of a god of life.”
Following his message, it wasn’t long before a Magician’s ladder descended from the heavens.
