Chapter 1119: Chapter 683: A Beam of Light Appears Chapter 1119: Chapter 683: A Beam of Light Appears The Goddess of Starfire reached forward, and as expected of the speed-renowned Goddess of Starfire, her form shifted and she grabbed the Big Cat’s neck in an instant. The Big Cat reacted quickly too, instantly growing larger and transforming into a fifty-meter-wide ball of fur, with its long hair wrapping the Goddess of Starfire completely.
“Hehe, your struggles are so cute, struggle for me, the more you do, the happier I get… What a good little cat to keep me company–” Before the Goddess of Starfire could finish her sentence, she felt a hand grab her wrist.
The Goddess of Starfire reacted swiftly. With a flick of her wrist, a surging power burst forth from her body. To have such strong retaliation in a rush, the Goddess of Starfire was very pleased with her own response. Unless it was a Chaotic-level enemy, no one could possibly withstand her flick.
But could a Dimension Beast’s fur really hide a Chaotic-level being?
However, the hand that grabbed her remained unmoved; instead, it pulled her inwards, the immense force dragging the Goddess of Starfire towards a certain place.
Now the Goddess of Starfire really panicked, but soon, her eyes lit up as she saw a golden field appear before her, with mature wheat stretching out like a carpet to the horizon.
Yet, this horizon had an end. The Goddess of Starfire’s thoughts scanned to the far edge almost immediately, and she frowned, “Dimensional Space? This is troublesome.”
The hand that dragged her in also loosened its grip, and it turned out to be a purple-black skeleton.
“Mourning Skeleton? How is that possible? How could a Mourning Skeleton withstand my power?” The Goddess of Starfire exclaimed in astonishment, her gaze shifting to Ange’s hand, where she saw an arm bone that was actually black crystal.
The Goddess of Starfire gasped, “Undead Overlord?!”
The Undead Overlord could scare Nightmare Saya into fleeing on sight, naturally scaring the Goddess of Starfire into a fear-stricken panic. She cried out in a lost voice, “Who are you?”
Ange did not speak, taking a step forward with the scales on his body roiling.
The Goddess of Starfire widened her eyes again, “Bone Dragon? Bone Dragon Bloodline!”
After transforming into the Muscle Dragon God, Ange conjured a ball of flames, then with a sudden jolt, a pair of fleshy wings burst from his back with his aura rising once again.
The aura emitted by the ball of flames shocked the Goddess of Starfire again, “Serpent of Misfortune?! My God, isn’t the Serpent of Misfortune and the Bone Dragons natural enemies? You’re using its aura to stimulate your own transformation? Can it even be used that way?”
But what shocked her even more was that the bones of the Undead Overlord, the Bloodline of the Bone Dragon, and the aura of the Serpent of Misfortune all appeared in the same individual. What was going on?
Ange did not respond; he never spoke when he fought, just kept his head down and swung his fists.
With a push-off, he shot forward as if springs were fitted under his feet.
The Goddess of Starfire waved her hand dismissively, sweeping outwards. As long as she touched the opponent’s hand, she would follow through and grab their neck. A simple move, but at her super-fast speed, she managed to execute it effortlessly and few could dodge her attack.
But before she could touch Ange’s hand, the whole world suddenly slowed down.
The Goddess of Starfire was shocked within her heart: Bone Dragon’s temporal dilation!
Under the slowdown of time, her movements also became sluggish, but as expected of the Goddess of Starfire, her deceleration was only relative to herself, compared to her enemy, it was simply a shift from extreme speed to normal.
She reached for Ange’s hand, and Ange also clasped hers, the other hand throwing a hook punch diagonally downward. The Goddess of Starfire blocked with her other hand–Boom! A violent collision erupted between them, sending both flying.
The projection of Negris on Ange’s body nearly popped its eyes out, but it still didn’t forget its mission, hurriedly explaining to the Bronze Dragon avatar with half its attention:
“Ange clasped her hand, threw a hook, they clashed, and a shockwave sent both flying–bad news, Ange’s skin burst open, flinging numerous scales.”
“Ange cast a spell, Holy Light Technique, injuries healed in the blink of an eye. And look at the Goddess of Starfire, her clothes were also blown to pieces, revealing her armor, such a strange armor, a sun eye emblem at the center.”
“They’re closing in, closing in fast. The Goddess of Starfire goes for a slide tackle, Ange directly lifts his leg for a power shot, kicking the bottom of Starfire’s foot, she uses the momentum to flip and leap up.”
“Ange has the height advantage, Starfire leaps up right to his level, Ange opens his mouth, it’s his breath, the breath, Giant Dragon breath, hit her–the Goddess of Starfire is on fire!”
Everyone around was listening to the narration, anxious as could be, but unfortunately, for safety’s sake, only Flash Feiti had entered, the rest were waiting outside. Only Negris could project into Ange, the others fretting had no use, they could only listen to its storytelling.
This was one of the rare enemies on par with Ange’s power. Previous enemies had almost no ability to fight back, let alone injure Ange.
Anthony couldn’t help but exclaim, “Truly worthy of being an Ancient God Hunter, even at extreme speed she poses a threat. Her body is so strong, even tougher than that of a Dragon God, she actually managed to hurt Lord Ange, though her luck isn’t too good.”
“Uh, aren’t you saying it backward?” Durken interjected, “It’s because her body is strong enough that she can achieve such speed. If her body wasn’t strong, she would break her bones lunging forward, speed would be useless then. But what do you mean by bad luck?”
Anthony looked to Drosa, who explained, “Because the Goddess of Starfire’s ultimate attack is the World-destroying Starfire. She creates a significant gap, gathers a Starfire, then sends it flying towards you–powerful enough to annihilate a plane as big as the Conch Plane. Lord Ange dragging her into Dimensional Space essentially restricts her strongest move.”
Not just his eyes, but even Durken’s nostrils widened in shock, remarking, “A plane? As big as the Conch Plane? She can destroy it in one blow? World-destroying Starfire?”
Drosa nodded.
Durken incredulously looked toward Anthony, who spread his hands with a resigned smile, indeed exceeding imagination. The most destructive attack they had seen was the Faith Storm of the Starburst Array, but that was deployed using a gigantic Starburst Array and the power hadn’t exceeded the realms of imagination.
To wield plane-destroying power single-handedly was truly beyond their imaginations, no wonder after some murmuring, they preferred to risk having Big Cat go out and lure the enemy.
Looking at it now, the Goddess of Starfire truly had bad luck. With her speed, she was almost invincible in the void, except for Feiti who could sneak in a hit; no one else could catch up to her.
Now dragged into Dimensional Space, if she couldn’t defeat Ange at such close range, she’d be doomed to be worn to death by Ange. And if he couldn’t kill her, he could still destroy Dimensional Space and exile her forever into the chaotic dimensional flow.
The Goddess of Starfire realized this too, desperately trying to create distance, gathering a Starfire. Though there was enough distance to let the World-destroying Starfire annihilate a plane.
But insufficiency of distance didn’t mean a lack of power, while it might not destroy a plane, breaking this Dimensional Wall was still well within reach.
Too bad, Ange was already on guard for this move. As she gathered the Starfire, relying on speed to circle Ange, a flash of light appeared.
