Negris, utterly baffled, said, “If you want to guard the Old Immortal, what’s there for me to disagree with? Just don’t get in our way, that’s all.”

“That’s great, then I can leave all this with you with peace of mind. Thank you, God of Knowledge. The Sorcerer Alliance is in your hands now. I’m off to guard His Majesty.” Locke dumped various badges, keys, prohibition permissions, and so on into Negris’s arms, then dashed toward the Teleportation Array and teleported away with a whoosh.
