“I never said I was jealous,” Qin Youxuan turned her head away shyly and began to walk out of the hospital room.

After a few steps, she suddenly remembered something, turned her head back to look at Dan Hanjie, “Bai Wei disappeared after Wu Qing died. Have you looked for her?”

“If she chose to disappear, it doesn’t make a difference whether I find her or not,” Dan Hanjie spoke indifferently, pulling Qin Youxuan tightly into his arms, showing no interest in delving further into the topic.

After a deep look at her, he still brought up a subject he knew she didn’t want to hear at the moment, “Ye Zhanxing is just outside. Do you want to see him?”

“There’s no way to hide the discharge procedure from Ye Zhanxing. He would’ve had someone watching all areas of the hospital since early morning. No matter where we left from, we couldn’t have avoided his surveillance.”

Danjie looked at her bewildered eyes and explained with a smile.

“So you simply had someone disguise as us and leave first, leading him to think it was us and go after them?” Qin Youxuan thought it through carefully and soon understood his intent.

“Ye Zhanxing isn’t a fool. He’ll probably realize soon enough. We need to get back to the villa before he catches on,” Dan Hanjie said as he drove.
