- Chapter 758 - 365-Day Trial Marriage With Hunk: Wife’s A Little Wild Chapter 758
Chapter 758: Chapter 758: No Reason to Do So Chapter 758: Chapter 758: No Reason to Do So Just a few steps out, and someone was already blocking their path.
A microphone shoved in their faces, firing loud questions in Japanese.
“Mr. Dan, what’s your view on Miss Ito’s assault incident? Rumor has it that it’s closely related to you. Do you have anything to clarify?”
“Are you fleeing Japan out of guilt, Mr. Dan?”
“We heard you’re married now, Mr. Dan. Does your wife know about this incident?”
“…”
Seeing Qin Youxuan shielded behind Dan Hanjie, the Japanese media stirred.
The focus was soon directed at her, even some people using broken Chinese to ask if she knew about Chiyo Ito’s assault.
The microphones held high, almost poking her in the face.
One man, distracted by her delicate features, couldn’t resist trying to take advantage of the chaos.
“Get lost!”
Dan Hanjie’s voice dropped. He pulled Qin Youxuan’s petite body into his arms and kicked the man who’d tried to approach her.
His enchanting face was frosty as he glared at the people around him like a king surveying his subjects.
“Dan Hanjie, don’t…”
Qin Youxuan, nervously grabbing his arm, saw the brewing frenzy amongst the media individuals.
Dan Hanjie showed no mercy. The man he kicked ended up sprawled on the ground, hardly able to rise.
At that moment, the media began to condemn him. Some even threatened to call the police.
The scene quickly descended into chaos.
Their accompanying bodyguards were trying their best to defend them, but they were helpless against the swarm of reporters filling the airport terminal.
“Mr. Jie, this incident might not be a coincidence. There must have been a leak of our whereabouts. That’s why so many media personnel are here. We mustn’t retaliate now, or else we might not be able to leave.”
Yao rushed back to Dan Hanjie’s side, sweeping a glance at the horde of reporters still swarming around them. “There’s a lounge in the VIP passage. I will protect and escort Mr. Jie and Madam out first.”
Provoking the media, no matter who is right or wrong, could escalate the situation.
A single misstep and they could fall right into someone else’s scheme.
If this gets to the police, no one would be able to leave today, exactly what the media wanted.
“We’ll take your advice. Tell the bodyguards with us not to engage with the media, and try to retreat as much as possible.” Qin Youxuan, seeing Dan Hanjie’s grim face, gave the order first.
“Yes, I understand.” Yao immediately split the bodyguards into two groups, one paving the way while the other protecting Dan Hanjie and Qin Youxuan, preventing anyone from coming near them.
After much difficulty, they managed to reach the VIP passage as airport security finally arrived.
“Whew–”
Sitting in the lounge of the VIP area, Qin Youxuan let out a long sigh of relief.
She turned her head to look at Dan Hanjie beside her, grasping his hand, “Are you okay? Did any of the reporters hit you? Are you hurt?”
“…”
Dan Hanjie’s eyes flashed mysteriously, his thin lips tightening as he looked at Yao, “The trip was arranged at the last minute. Apart from me and you, who else knew about it?”
Yao paused, “I will investigate it immediately.”
“No need,” Dan Hanjie’s voice dropped as he looked at Qin Youxuan.
“You suspect me?” Qin Youxuan pointed at herself, meeting Dan Hanjie’s deep black eyes, choking on her words.
“Ning Yanan.”
Dan Hanjie’s name was uttered slowly, deliberately.
“Impossible! It couldn’t have been Yaya. She just arrived in Japan yesterday. She wouldn’t have known anything! Besides,” Qin Youxuan stood up from her chair, tugging at her dress hem, “she has no reason to do this!”
